HAMILTON, NJ -- In a legal victory for Hamilton Township Mayor Kelly Yaede, following a Friday morning status hearing Judge Roger Haley dismissed charges against the mayor.   Yaede and her former campaign manager, Dan Scharfenberger, had been charged in connection with her 2019 mayoral re-election campaign.

After the court hearing, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office released the following statement:

"The judge granted the motion for dismissal as a matter of law based on a Supreme Court ruling.  We accept his decision and do not intend to appeal.  As such, the charge against Mr. Scharfenberger will also be dismissed."
