HAMILTON, NJ -- The Hamilton Police Department is seeking the public's help in an on-going investigation that sent a pedestrian to the hospital with serious injuries. 

On Monday, August 6 at approximately 9:06pm, Richard Burns, 58, Hamilton, was crossing Nottingham Way near Chawalla Boulevard. He was struck by Sherika Chiles, 39, Hamilton, who was traveling westbound driving a 2000 Acura.

As a result of the accident. Burns was transported to Capital Health at Fuld Trauma Unit for treatment of his serious injuries.

Witnesses of the accident or anyone with information can contact the Officer Frank LaVacca in the Hamilton Police Department or the Traffic Unit at (609) 581-4000.  Information also can be left anonymously on the Hamilton Police Crime Tip Hotline at (609) 581-4008.
