HAMILTON, NJ -- Hamilton Police are seeking information in connection with an armed robbery that took place early Tuesday morning at the Delta Gas Station located at 1406 Chambers Street.  

Hamilton Township Police responded to the call at approximately 12:44 a.m and were told by the gas station attendant that an unidentified black man, described as very tall and wearing a mask, approached on foot form East Howell Street from the area of Hutchinson Street toward the fuel pumps. The suspect allegedly then ran at the victim while holding a black handgun and demanded the attendant’s money.

The suspect is said to have struck the victim on the head with the handgun which caused a laceration to the victim’s head, knocking him to the ground.

The suspect fled across Chambers Street and down East Howell street without any proceeds.   

The victim was examined by EMS at the scene but refused further medical treatment.
