HAMILTON, NJ --  The bridge on Church Street over Doctors Creek in Hamilton will be under construction by the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure beginning on March 18.   The concrete encased steel girder bridge, which is located on highway Route 156 and Main Street in Groveville by the Eagle Rock Apartments, is considered "structurally deficient due to the poor condition of the substructure and functionally obsolete due to the inadequate deck geometry."

The replacement bridge will be a single span structure supported on full height concrete abutments.  The proposed roadway cross-section at the bridge will include two 12-foot travel lanes, two four-foot shoulders, and two five-foot sidewalks.

The work is expected to take 210 calendar days, weather permitting.
