HAMILTON, NJ --  Hamilton Township Police are asking for the public's assistance in searching for a suspect who robbed a 90-year old man while he was driving. At approximately noon on Monday, Hamilton Police were called to the 1200 block of Genesee Street on a report of a robbery incident.

According to the reporting officers, a 90-year old male stopped to check for passing cars at the intersection of Mary Street while was driving in his vehicle on Genesee Street. It was then that the man was allegedly approached by the suspect who entered his unlocked vehicle and gestured for him to drive up the street to an unknown location. After driving several blocks, the suspect reached across the elderly males’ body and physically subdued him while removing his wallet from his pants pocket. Since the elderly male stopped his vehicle during the altercation, the suspect exited the vehicle and walked down Chambers Street towards South Broad Street and out of the view of the victim.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 25-30 years old, with black colored straight hair, and short in stature. He was wearing a dark colored jacket during the incident.
