ROBBINSVILLE, NJ -- A mid-day Saturday motor vehicle accident on Route 130 has claimed the life of a Robbinsville Township man.
At approximately 11:23 am, the Robbinsville Police Department received a 9-1-1 call of a serious motor vehicle crash at Route 130 North and Woodside Road. Upon arrival, officers observed a two-vehicle crash involving a Yamaha Motorcycle and a Ford Escape.
The motorcycle driver, a 24-year-old male from Robbinsville, was found unconscious and unresponsive. The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Ford Escape, an 80-year-old male from Hamilton, was uninjured.
The Robbinsville Criminal Investigation Unit and the Mercer County Prosecutors Office responded to the crash which remains under investigation. The Robbinsville Division of Fire and EMS responded with Paramedics from Capitol Health.

Route 130 was closed for several hours as first responders attended to the accident scene.
This is not the first fatal accident in this area of Route 130 and Woodside Road. One year ago, on June 24, a 23-year-old Hamilton man was killed in a motor vehicle accident in the same area.
