HAMILTON, NJ - Assemblyman Wayne DeAngelo (D-14), who also serves as president of IBEW 269, was at Hamilton Fire Department’s Station 16 Thursday to donate several hundred N95 masks to the Township’s firefighters. The donation, he said, was made on behalf of his union and comes just two weeks after his members donated 12,000 masks and goggles to five Mercer County hospitals.

“Our firefighters are one of our community’s most treasured assets,” DeAngelo said of the donation. “They don’t have the luxury of working from home during this health crisis, and, despite the added risks to themselves, haven't slowed one bit in their efforts to keep Hamilton safe.”

On hand to accept the donation was Nick Buroczi, president of FMBA 284 who shared that their jobs are “difficult and dangerous” even on the best of days. “While that’s what we signed up for, and accept the challenge without hesitation, we are extremely grateful for friends like Assemblyman DeAngelo who are stepping up their efforts to keep us protected so that we can better protect the community we love.”
