HAMILTON, NJ --  The Hamilton Township Police Department are investigating a possible overnight carjacking that left an elderly woman injured. At approximately 4:10am on Thursday Hamilton Police reponded to a reported of a carjacking on Fairlawn Avenue.  

Upon arrival, officers learned that an 80-year old female victim had fallen asleep in her vehicle around 9:00pm the previous evening while parked in her driveway. The victim claimed she awoke the next morning lying in the driveway with the car missing.  She stated she had no recollection of what had occurred or who took her vehicle. The victim declined medical attenion for a fresh abrasion and bruise on her face.  

The vehicle was recoved later unoccupied in Trenton.  The incident is now an on-going investigation with no arrests made at this time.
