HAMILTON, NJ -- A routine traffic violation stop last week in Hamilton Township resulted in the seizure of a handgun and ammunition by New Jersey State Police. On Thursday, State Troopers pulled over James Diggs 3rd, 20, of Trenton, at approximately 12:45 a.m. during a routine traffic stop on Chambers Street
During the stop, Troopers reported that they discovered that Diggs was in possession of a .40 caliber handgun, a large capacity magazine, and marijuana. Diggs has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, prohibited weapons and devices, and possession of marijuana.
He is being held in Mercer County Jail pending a bail detention hearing.
