TRENTON, NJ -- Law enforcement officials are asking for information from the public regarding a Saturday incident in which a pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing Rt. 29.

According to the Trenton Police Department, at approximately 8:30pm on Saturday, April 3, officers responded to the area of Route 29 North and Hermitage Avenue after receiving reports of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.  

Upon arrival they discovered the victim who was identified as Marcus Drury, 51, of Trenton. Drury was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed that two vehicles struck the victim. The drivers of those vehicles have not been identified. 

The investigation into the incident in ongoing and being conducted by Trenton Police Detective Nicholas Morgante in conjunction with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact the Trenton Police Department's anonymous tip line at 609-989-DRUG (3784).
