HAMILTON, NJ --  The Hamilton Township Police Department announced Monday evening that a previously missing man had been located safely and unharmed in Cape May, New Jersey.   Earlier in the day they sought the public's help to locate Gerald Old who had last been seen on December 29 in the Matthew Drive area of Hamilton. 

The Hamilton Police Division thanked the public's help in safely locating Old. 

When responding to the missing adult report, officers responded to a Matthew Drive residence where they were advised that Old had been visiting family in Hamilton when he left to check on a Seaside Heights property that he owned.   Mr. Old is believed to be in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease and is a diabetic.

The family had last spoke to Old around 5:30 pm on Sunday while he was on his way from Seaside Heights to the Matthew Drive residence.  At the time, he was driving a four-door, blue 2000 Lincoln with Florida License plates (GMGE95).   Old was last seen wearing a black Hard Rock sweatshirt, blue jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers. 

Last known phone records indicated that he had been traveling in the Princeton area.  No further information was made available regarding being Old was found in Cape May.
