MYRTLE BEACH, SC - It was a rough start to the East Coast Summer Nationals for the Akadema Elite 18U Select team on Wednesday, dropping a pair their first two games of the tournament, 8-0, to Chaos Showcase and 7-6 to the Carolina Comets in a pair of four inning games.   

(In the tournament, the games are limited to 90 minutes.)

After a rough first game, Akadema Elite battled back in the second, rallying from down to take a 6-4 lead. But the Comets, who took advantage of eight stolen bases in four innings, were able to come back, and with three in the bottom of the fourth for the victory.

In game one, Chaos Showcase jumped out to an early lead, scoring five in the first and never looked back.

Akadema is back on the field today in a game against the Anne Arundel Hear at 1:15 p.m.

The weather should be more cooperative,  as the tournament was delayed twice on Wednesday by rain.
