HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -  You can forgive Evan Morrow if on Monday he was walking a bit slowly. He had a busy, and successful, weekend when it came to running.

On Saturday, the eighth grader finished fourth overall in the New Jersey State Police 5K Chase, first in his age bracket and first in the civilian category, with a time of 19 minutes, 42 seconds.  Among the three who finished ahead of him was his father, Brian, who came in second.

On Sunday, Morrow won three events at New Jersey Strider’s USTAF Qualifying Meet, capturing the 1500 Meters, the 3000 Meters, and the 200 Meter hurdles in the 13-14 year old division.  He set a season personal best in the 1500 with a 4:51.50, and won the 200 Meter hurdles in his first race in the event this season.
