Newport Centre, a Simon Mall, continued its engagement this October as one of five national sponsors of Susan G. Komen®, encouraging employees, retailers and shoppers to participate in activities and contribute to the achievement of Komen’s bold goal of reducing current U.S. breast cancer deaths by 50 percent by 2026.

As part of its National Breast Cancer Awareness Month observance, Newport Centre hosted a number of fundraising and awareness initiatives including the annual Fashion Walk of Hope, a “real runway experience” fashion show presented in partnership with local affiliate Susan G. Komen North Jersey and CarePoint Health. Nineteen breast cancer survivors from five counties, outfitted in the latest Fall fashions from Macy’s, strutted down the runway in the Mall’s Center Court looking and feeling fabulous thanks to the generosity of Sephora (makeup) and V & C Salon (hair).
