Next Tuesday, New Jersey residents will head to the polls to select candidates for US Senate, US House of Representatives, County and local offices. As a lifelong resident of Hasbrouck Heights and a registered Democrat, I am proud to take part in this process -- and this time, it's more personal.

The last few weeks have been exciting for my family. My husband, Steven Reyngoudt (also a lifelong resident), announced his candidacy for council here in Hasbrouck Heights. And people are talking. They are asking questions. They are interested in local politics, and Steven couldn't be happier. He and his running mate, Helayne Weiss, are looking forward to making a difference in Hasbrouck Heights.

Making a plan to vote is the first step to ensuring you make it to the polls. If you plan to vote on Tuesday, June 5th, your voting location will be open from 6am to 8pm. If you are unable to vote on Election Day, you can visit the Bergen County Clerk's office until June 4th at 3pm to vote in person.
