HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - Frustrated by the slow pace of construction work being done at Depken Field? The field and track, which had just been reopened in early June after being closed during the Pandemic, was closed in mid-July as Hasbrouck Heights started the project to replace the surface.

According to Hasbrouck Heights Athletic Director Mike Scuilla, the project is still on schedule, despite the fact that it looks like there is nothing going on. Currently, the turf field is being manufactured to Hasbrouck Heights actual specifications, which is the longest step.

“Unfortunately this is how it always works,” said Scuilla.  “Uncover the field and deliver the materials, inspect for issues underneath, then wait for delivery. “

The project is still on schedule according to Scuilla, who noted that the fall 2020 practice schedules don’t start until September 14.
