HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -- Despite the snowy March, Hasbrouck Heights residents got a new hot spot for cold treats. as Gelatissimo Cafe opened its doors.   Owned by Heights Pizzeria, the new ice cream café replaces K&J Ice Cream, which closed earlier this year.

The Café offers a full range of cold treats including 24 flavors of ice cream, 12 gelatos and eight Italian ices. Beverages include 24 types of coffee and 12 flavors of tea.

What’s been popular so far? The cannoli and Nutella gelato are always favorites, as is a unique treat.  Cookie Monster ice cream, a concoction of vanilla ice cream dyed blue with Chips Ahoy and Oreo cookies, has been popular with the crowds as well.. For larger appetites, or those who wish to share with a friend (or two), there’s the Belgium waffle sundae.

Gelatissimo Café is located at 167 Boulevard , on the corner of Division Ave, and is open seven days a week.
