The Aviators finished last season 17-4, being eliminated in the second round of the NJSIAA playoffs by Boonton. It was the third straight season that Boonton had eliminated the Aviators from the state tournament.

“Coach Martinez is a great addition to the Hasbrouck Heights High School athletic department, said Hasbrouck Heights athletic director Mike Scuilla.  “He comes from one of the most decorated soccer programs in the state. “

“Pedro has a passion for teaching soccer that immediately jumped off of the screen during our virtual interview,“ Scuilla stated. “His coaching philosophy towards educating young men in life, as well as soccer, matches our school district’s values perfectly.  Getting hired during this difficult time should have created challenges for a new coach, but Coach Martinez has our boys program up and running without any hiccups.”
