TRENTON/HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials announced Monday that the left lane on Route 17 northbound near the Route 46 overpass in Hasbrouck Heights will be closed for approximately two months as a priority bridge repair project begins.
Beginning at 9 a.m., Tuesday, September 15, a NJDOT contractor is scheduled to close the left and center lanes on Route 17 northbound near the Route 46 overpass in Hasbrouck Heights. The closures will allow for the installation of a construction barrier in the left lane, creating a work zone to install shoring columns necessary to complete concrete repairs. One lane of northbound traffic will remain open.
By 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, the center lane will reopen. The left lane will remain closed for approximately two months as crews work to repair the bridge. If work is completed early, the road will reopen sooner. The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
