HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -- Fall sports are in full swing, but Hasbrouck Heights High School is searching for a head swim coach and assistant for the upcoming winter swim season.

Both the head coach and assistant coach from the 2017-18 team have moved onto other jobs, leaving two openings to lead the young program. Athletic director Michael Scuilla has sent word through the New Jersey Interscholastic Conference and NJSIAA, advertised, as well as reached out to other athletic directors.

He explained there are four criteria for high school swim coaches in New Jersey:

NJ swim instructor certificate
CPR/First Aid certificate
Lifeguard Certificate
Water Safety Instructor Certificate

Swim practice for the upcoming season begins as early as November 5, with meets starting the first week of December. Anyone interested in applying should email Scuilla as soon as possible at scuillam@hhschools.org.
