Lodi Hand Heights Third Straight Loss, 86-65

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ  -  Anthony Palmer scored 18 points, but it was not enough as Lodi toppled Hasbrouck Heights 86-65, in boys high school basketball on Saturday.  Johnny Capozzi chipped in 13, including three three-pointers in the loss, as Hasbrouck Heights dropped its third consecutive game.

Lodi led the Aviators 40-35 at the half, before breaking the open the game in the third quarter with a 23-8 spurt.   Carlos Pepin was the big gun for Lodi, with 32 points, while Charlie Battice added 23.

Lady Aviators Roll By Ridgefield 

FAIR LAWN , NJ - Autumn Thorpe had her season high 13 points as Hasbrouck Heights defeated Ridgefield, 46-37, in girl’s high school basketball on Saturday.  Julia Koukoutsis had 10 and Catherine Castellanos had nine to lead a balanced attack.

The Lady Aviators jumped out to 21-12 lead at the half, and led 32-18 at the end of three quarters.  Ali Baric, with 14 points and Marilyn Grandov, with 12, led the Ridgefield offense.
