HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - Hasbrouck Heights jumped out to a 17-11 first quarter lead and never looked back, as the Aviators tightened their grip on second place in the NJIC Meadowlands DIvision with a 61-52 victory over Becton Thursday night in Hasbrouck Heights. 

The win improves the Aviators record to 10-2 overall, and 8-1 in the Meadowlands. It was the second win in three games against Becton, as the Aviators opened with a Meadowlands Division win against Becton in December, before losing a week later to Becton in their Christmas Tournament.

Center Kunga Tsering had 18 points to lead the Aviators, while senior Will Koukoutsis chipped in 13.

Nick Mitarotonda had 17 Becton, who rallied late, before falling short, cutting the Aviators lead to five at 52-47 to 2:05 left in the game.
