HS Boys Basketball: Ridgefield Park Edges Hasbrouck Heights, 60-55

RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ -  Hasbrouck Heights junior Anthony Palmer scored 29 points, but it was not enough, as the Aviators fell to Ridgefield Park, 60-55, Saturday afternoon. The Aviators led 28-26 at the half, as Palmer had 15 and Jasiah Purdie had nine to lead the attack.

The Cardinals outscored the Aviators 17-9 in the third to take a 43-37 lead going into the fourth quarter, as Chanz Martinez and Alex Willoughby each had six in the quarter.  

The Aviators tried to rally in the fourth, but Ridgefield Park was able to hold them off.  Isaiah Melendez had right points for Ridgefield Park in the fourth.  Matt Moretto had six, and Palmer had four in the quarter, as the Aviators were not able to make up the deficit.

The Aviators fall to 12-7 overall with the loss.  Ridgefield Park improved to 12-7 with victory in the non-conference game.
