HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -  It was Senior Night for the Hasbrouck Heights Girls Basketball on Tuesday night.  Fittingly, a pair of seniors, Kassie Ketcho and Cat Castellanos led the Lady Aviators to a 48-17 victory over Becton in New Jersey Interscholastic Conference action.

Castellanos had seven her 11 points in a 13-0 run that gave the Aviators a 13-2 lead early in the second quarter, Ketcho, who finished with a game high 13 points, had nine in the second half as the Aviators put the game out of reach.  

Before the game, Castellanos and Ketcho were joined by fellow seniors Alyssa Volpe and Megan Lorfink as the Aviators honored their four graduating seniors.

Hasbrouck Heights head coach Amanda Minervini noted before the game that the “years just flew by” and that the seniors would be missed.

Lorfink chipped in seven and Volpe two on Senior Night.   

Up 40-17 in the fourth, Minervini subbed in for each of the seniors one of the time, allowing each to get their applause as they left the court.   

With the win, the Aviators improve to 11-3 in the NJIC Meadowlands, and 13-6 overall.  Becton falls to 4-11, 5-14.  Heights returns to the court Thursday at Paterson Charter, at 4 pm.
