HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -  Connor Friedel scattered four hits over six innings, and Justin Wexler had a triple and a run batted in as Hasbrouck Heights and Teaneck played to a seven-inning 2-2 tie in high school summer league action at Depken Field Monday afternoon.

The Aviators scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take an early lead.  With one out, Remi Sanchez doubled down the left field line to give the Aviators a runner in scoring position.  Wexler then tripled in Sanchez, giving Heights a 1-0 lead. Wexler then scored on a wild pitch for a 2-0 lead.

Teaneck bounced back, with two runs in the top of the fifth, scoring on a two run home run to ties the score.

Neither tie could rally late, and the game was called after seven innings.  Tommy Capozzi pitched a perfect seventh for the Aviators.

Tuesday’s Hasbrouck Heights against Clifton was postponed due to rain.  The Aviators currently sit at 1-1-1, having lost 2-1 to Wayne Valley and defeated Passiac County Tech, 6-1  last week.
