HASBROUCK HEIGHTS,  NJ - If you like golf, good food and spending time with family then the 11th Annual Ketcho Father Son Golf Classic might be the place for you to be on July 14.   Proceeds from the event go the Carl Inserra Leukemia Fund. The event is held at the Glen Brook County Club in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, beginning at 7:30am.

The event is one of two annual events that Hasbrouck Heights’ resident Kevin Ketcho and his sons host each year to help raise funds for the various causes supported by the Carl Inserra Leukemia Fund.  The other is a Texas Hold Em Tournament held in March.

Going into its 11th year, the golf outing has raised approximately $50,000 in 10 years, and grows incrementally each year.  Starting with six players in its inaugural outing, the tournament has grown to 86 players in 2017, and Ketcho is hoping for continued growth.

“The Glen Brook has room for 128 players, (32 foursomes) ” Ketcho explained.  “But we can always move to a second course if we need to.”

The Inserra Foundation's "Carl Inserra Leukemia Fund"  began in 1987 after the death of its namesake to Leukemia.   Since then, it has raised millions of dollars to support many Leukemia research other causes.

Ketcho stated that the connection between his golf outing and the Inserras started when they donated hot dogs and hamburgers to their initial outing, and the relationship took over.

“The Inserra family are such great people, “ Ketcho said.  “Their belief and actions in back to the community is evidence of that.”

“We are looking forward looking forward to having some fun in the sun with lots of father and son bonding” said Ketcho.  “We are three generations of good guys, doing good deeds, having good fum, all for a great cause, curing Leukemia.”
