TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy announced the latest COVID-19 figures from around the state during his Monday afternoon press conference, where he noted the recent increase in overall numbers were "driven in large part by significant new cases coming out of Ocean County."

In New Jersey, there were 561 new cases reported, with one new death. Statewide, there are 204,107 positive cases and 14,316 deaths, and 1,791 probable COVID-19 fatalities.

According to Murphy, Bergen County has 22,439 positive cases, and followed by Essex (21,070), Hudson (20,661), Middlesex (19,503), Passaic (19,023) with 339 under investigation.

As of 10 p.m. Sunday, there were 421 people hospitalized, 236 testing positive and 185 still under investigation. There were 91 patients in ICU and 39 on ventilators.
