TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy announced the latest COVID-19 figures from around the state during his Monday afternoon press conference where he and Heath Commissioner Dr. Judith Persichilli announced “phased in” visitor re-openings at nursing homes throughout the state.

In New Jersey, there were 258 new cases reported, with four new deaths. Statewide, there are 185,031 positive cases and 14,025 deaths, and 1,853 probable COVID-19 fatalities.  

According to Murphy, Bergen County has 20,825 positive cases, and followed by Essex (19,747), Hudson (19,683), Middlesex (17,921), Passaic (17,665) with 645 under investigation.

As of 10 p.m. Sunday, there were 545 people hospitalized, 284 testing positive, and 261 persons under investigation. There were 83 patients in ICU and 31 on ventilators. Deaths in Bergen County remain unchanged since Sunday with 1,787 fatalities, according to the Governor.
