TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy announced the latest COVID-19 figures from around the New Jersey during his Monday afternoon press conference, where he also said the state has submitted a draft of a coronavirus vaccine distribution plan to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC.)

There were 1,223 new cases reported, with seven new deaths.  Statewide, there are 228,684 positive cases and 14,503 deaths, and 1,789 probable COVID-19 fatalities.  

According to Murphy, Bergen County has 24,648 positive cases, and followed by Essex (23,931), Hudson (22,646), Middlesex (21,783), and Passaic (20,554), with 505 under investigation.

Essex County still has the most new cases with 133, followed by Union (126), Bergen (118), Middlesex (111), and Passaic (110.)

As of 10 p.m. Sunday, there were 948 people hospitalized, 767 testing positive and 181 under investigation. There  are 178 patients in ICU and 75 on ventilators.
