TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy announced the latest COVID-19 figures from around the New Jersey during his Monday afternoon press conference where he discussed the resources for residents feeling overwhelmed during the ongoing health crisis, and again urged people caution over the holiday weekend.

There were 3,592 new cases reported, with 11 new deaths. Statewide, there are now 309,588 positive cases and 14,960 deaths, and 1,812 probable COVID-19 fatalities.  

According to Murphy, Essex County has 33,088 positive cases, and followed by Bergen (32,245), Hudson (29,379), Middlesex (28,263), Passaic (27,438), with 724 under investigation.

Three counties reported over 300 new cases, Passaic (384), Bergen (383), and Essex (315.)  Six counties recorded over 200 new cases, Union (279), Hudson and Middlesex (273), Camden (253), Ocean (240), and Monmouth (214.)

Four counties reported over 100 cases, Burlington (176), Mercer (170), Morris (156) and Gloucester (114.)

As of 10 p.m. Sunday, there were 2,693 people hospitalized, 537 patients in ICU and 240 on ventilators.
