TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy released the latest COVID-19 figures from around the New Jersey on Wednesday afternoon.

There were 1,682 new cases reported, with 14 new deaths. Statewide, there are 232,997 positive cases and 14,531 deaths, and 1,789 probable COVID-19 fatalities.  

As of 10 p.m. Tuesday, there were 1,010 people hospitalized, 194 patients in ICU and 80 on ventilators.

According to Murphy, Bergen County has 24,890 positive cases, and followed by Essex (24,455), Hudson (22,956), Middlesex (22,111), Passaic (20,775), and 537 under investigation.

Seven counties have reported over 100 new cases. Essex County has the highest with 273, followed by Union (186), Middlesex (165), Passaic (118), Hudson (117), Camden (107), and Monmouth (100.) Bergen County reported 97 new cases.
