WOODLAND PARK, NJ - Wood-Ridge’s first year cross-country completed its season on Saturday morning, participating in the North 1, Group 1 Sectional Championships.   For a first year team, the Blue Devils were quite successful in the meet.

Senior Christina Vazquez, competing as one of the four Wood-Ridge running in the girl’s division, finished in 20th place overall.   Callie Negro came in 39th, while AnneMarie Brown and Kamila Martinia came in 98 and 99th.  

The boys' squad, led by Simon Santamaria, finished in 17th place, ahead of Cresskill and Kittatinny High Schools in the North 1, Group 1 boys competition.  Santamaria came in 53rd. Next for the Blue Devils was Nigel Baltadano (100th), with Andres Lazo (104), Thomas Perez (105) and Angel Laynez (113) filling out the top 5.
