NJSIAA Track: Hasbrouck Heights Girls In First After Day 1

FRANKLIN, NJ - The Hasbrouck Heights Girls’ team has a slim lead in the North 1, Group 1 State Group Championships after the opening day’s events, held Friday afternoon at Franklin High School.

Kassie Ketcho captured the North 1, Group 1 title in the javelin, with a throw of 120 feet, and came in second in the in the shot put with a throw of 41 feet 8.75 inches. Catherine Castellanos, took fourth in the javelin with a throw of 109 feet, 8 inches, she came in ninth in the shot put with a throw of 34 feet 7.25 inches.

Monika Lucic came in second in the 400 meter hurdles, with a time of 1:03.7.

The Boys 4 x 800 meter relay came in sixth place.
