HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -- Despite some rain earlier in the day, the skies cleared up for Hasbrouck Heights' final Boulevard Stroll of 2017.Residents staked out their seats earlier in the evening. People walked, pushed strollers and brought their family dog to the event which hosted about 200 people. It was a joint effort between the Chamber of Commerce, the Mayor and Council.
Up-and-coming country musician Madeline Smith was the headline act. A New Jersey native, who calls Princeton her home, the 20-year old Smith has been singing professionally since she was a teenager. She has opened for some of country music’s top acts, including Lee Brice, Scotty McCreery, and Darius Rocker, and is considered a rising star. With three hit singles reaching the top 20 in the United Kingdom County Charts, she earned performances at the British Country Music Awards two years in a row.
