TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy announced the latest COVID-19 figures from around the New Jersey on Saturday afternoon.
There were 5,246 new PCR cases reported and 1,103 antigen tests, with 96 new deaths. Statewide, there are now 590,423 positive PCR cases, 61,662 positive antigen cases, and 18,323 deaths, and 2,091 probable COVID-19 fatalities.
According to Murphy, Bergen County leads the state with the most positive cases with 54,239, followed by Essex (54,229), Middlesex (53,231), Hudson (51,121), Passaic (43,896), with 1,275 under investigation.
Essex (512) and Bergen (508) each have over 500 new cases. Three counties reported over 400 new cases, Hudson (474), Middlesex (463), and Ocean (424.)
Two counties reported over 200 new cases, Monmouth (383) and Union (305.) Five counties had over 200 new cases, Camden (274), Atlantic (263), Pasaic (262), Morris (255) and Burlington (209.) Four counties reported over 100 new cases, Mercer (197), Gloucester (158), Somerset (131), and Sussex (121.)
As of 10 p.m. Friday, there were 3,677 people hospitalized, with 651 patients in ICU and 427 on ventilators.
