HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - There was a lot of “honoring” going on over the past week on TAPinto Hasbrouck Heights/Wood-Ridge/Teterboro.

Academically, the Hasbrouck Heights Middle School and High School honor rolls were announced.   On Saturday, Hasbrouck Heights wrestler Mickey O’Malley was honored during the quad meet at Verona, when he broke the record for most wins by a wrestler, breaking Marc Mastroprieto’s mark.

On Sunday, the Hasbrouck Heights football team had its awards brunch, honoring the 2017 North 1, Group 1 state championship team with the presentation of their rings.

Two Wood-Ridge residents were unharmed, but displaced from their home due to a two-alarm fire on Tuesday evening.

Inclement weather caused the cancellation of the Borough of Wood-Ridge Council meeting Wednesday, and delayed Senior Night for Wood-Ridge’s Indoor Track and Wrestling Teams.  Senior Night for both the Indoor Track and Wrestling team was held on Thursday evening.  

Basketball for both Wood-Ridge and Hasbrouck Heights had an eventful week, as the state released the pairings for both the boys and girls playoffs.  Both Hasbrouck Heights teams will be home on February 26, while both Wood-Ridge teams will open the playoffs on the road.  Hasbrouck Heights also had its Senior Night for the boys basketball team Thursday evening.
