HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - Route 17 North at Franklin Avenue is down to one lane due to a fuel spill.  The Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department has responded to help clear the hazardous condition, caused by an overturned fuel delivery tanker.  The Bergen County Haz Mat team is also on the scene.

At this time, there is no estimate from the Hasbrouck Heights Police Department as to how long the cleanup will take. Motorists are advised to find alternate routes.  The highway currently remains open, but with only one northbound lane available at this time, according to Chief of Police Michael Colaneri, Sr.
