HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -- Both Borough Hall and The Free Public Library of Hasbrouck Heights will be closed on Wednesday, March 7, due to the impending winter storm, per an email from Mimi Hui, Library Director.
HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -- Hasbrouck Heights schools and organizations are announcing cancellations and postponements ahead of Wednesday's Winter Storm Quinn.
The Hasbrouck Heights School District will be closed on Wednesday, per an email from the district. There will be no sports and no before-school and after-school KEYS programs. All activities are canceled.
The Hasbrouck Heights High School Pops Concert will be rescheduled for Monday, March 26 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium, per Linda Simmons, high school principal, in an email to parents.
The eighth grade STEAM trips are canceled for Wednesday and Thursday, according to an email from Joseph Mastropietro, middle school principal. Wednesday’s groups will go on April 30. Thursday’s group will go on May 1. Friday’s trip will go as planned.
The Hasbrouck Heights Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 14 at 8:00 a.m. at the Hasbrouck Heights Library.
As of 5:30 p.m., the Hasbrouck Heights DPW is scheduled for newspaper recycling pickup Wednesday morning, according to Bill Spindler, DPW Director, and Councilman Ron Kistner. Trucks will be on the road early at 5 a.m.
In a Tuesday afternoon press conference, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency will be in effect as of Tuesday at 8 p.m.
