HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - The schedule looks quiet this week due to the Fourth of July holiday, but we know stuff always pops up during the week. That said, there are a few things on the schedule.
So, aside from trying to avoid the heat over the next couple of days, here is what's going on.
The Hasbrouck Heights Swim Club swim team opens its season hosting its first meet Monday night against Waldwick.
The Farmer’s Market will be back in operation on Tuesday, at the Hasbrouck Heights Municipal Lot on Central Avenue and the Boulevard. Hours are 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Wednesday is the Fourth of July, and while Hasbrouck Heights has already had its celebration, people will still be looking for fireworks. If you want a live show, you have four Bergen County options -- Allendale, Ridgewood, Leonia (Overpeck State Park) and Hackensack. Plus, check out the article with a listing of fireworks displays across New Jersey.
Due to the holiday, the Hasbrouck Heights Chamber of Commerce meeting that is normally the first Wednesday each month has been re-scheduled until the following Thursday, July 12.
The HH Swim Club Dive Team opens their season on Friday with a meet against Paramus at home.
And now that Governor Murphy has signed the budget, the next task begins - determining what the impact for Hasbrouck Heights, Wood-Ridge and Teterboro is.
For those who love the Jersey Shore, remember to check out our Shore Report before you visit to the beach or bay.
It looks like the dangerous heat will be with us a few more days. Remember to hydrate, check on your elderly neighbors, and don't leave kids or pets outdoors or in cars.
