HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -  If you are looking for ways to get outside this week, there are plenty of sports events going on.  The weather should be good early in the week, so if you want to take advantage, here is what's on TAP.

The Hasbrouck Heights Swim Club Swim team hosts its second, and final home swim meet of the year, Monday at 5:30 against River Edge.  The team will travel on Wednesday to Mahwah for its first road contest. The HHSC Dive team will be busy, with two 'away' meets, at Saddle River Valley on Tuesday, and at Mahwah on Friday. 

Both Hasbrouck Heights and Wood-Ridge-Moonachie  (WRM) Little Leagues are heating up in All-Star competition during the week.

In the 9-year old brackets, Hasbrouck Heights plays Lyndhurst at Lodi Little League field at 6 pm while WRMLL plays Nutley at 6 pm in Saddle Brook on Monday. Tuesday, the 10-year championship game will feature WRMLL against Lyndhurst in Carlstadt.  Pool play continues Wednesday in District 5 in Lodi, with WRMLL playing Rutherford, followed by Heights and North Arlington.

Tuesday evening, the Hasbrouck Heights Borough Council will be having the first of its two July meetings at Borough Hall at 8 pm.  Thursday evening at 7 pm, the Wood-Ridge Land Use board is meeting and is expected to hear the application to tear down TGI Friday's to build a hotel on the site. 

Hasbrouck Heights Chamber of Commerce will meet on Thursday, July 12 at 8 a.m. in the Hasbrouck Heights Library. The meeting will feature a speaker from Reference USA who will teach members how to use their free platform to find contacts and create mailing lists.
