HASBROUCK HEIGHTS , NJ - Monday morning Memorial Day Ceremonies kick off the week of May 28 to June 3.   Both Hasbrouck Heights and Wood-Ridge will be having Memorial Day ceremonies beginning at 10 am.

While the weather is not forecast to be the best for swimming, the Hasbrouck Height Swim Club will also be open on Monday, but closed through the week.  Members from 8 to 18 who are interested in joining the Hasbrouck Heights Swim Club Swim or Dive teams need to register at the pool on Thursday evening. Signups start at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday will be a big day in the NJSIAA softball and baseball.  The Lady Aviators travel to Cedar Grove as the top two seeds in the North 1, Group 1 section will meet in the sectional finals.  The winner advances to play on May 31 in the sectional semi-finals, with the sectional finals being held on June 2 and 3.

Hasbrouck Heights baseball will host Butler, in a battle of 11 vs 14 seeds in the semi-finals of the boys North 1, Group 1 state baseball playoffs.  The winner will advance to play the winner of the Pompton Lakes at Park Ridge game on June 1.

Hasbrouck Heights boys and girls’ track teams will be headed to the State Group meet on Friday and Saturday at Franklin High School.  

Thursday be on the lookout for limousines as Wood-Ridge has its prom during the evening, and the Ice Cream Social at the Wood-Ridge Senior Center Thursday afternoon at 1 pm.  

Friday will be the annual Chief for a Day, sponsored by the Bergen County Sheriff's Department.

Next weekend will be the time for fun on the Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights.  The Feast of the Corpus Christi celebration will be on Saturday, June 2 and June 3.   The Hasbrouck Heights Street Fair will be on the Boulevard on June 3. Both events are rain or shine. Wood-Ridge will hold its annual "Keep Wood-Ridge Beautiful" clean-up day on Sunday.
