HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - Weatherwise, it is shaping up to be a wet week in Northern New Jersey, as rain is forecast. For at least part of the day, for every day through Thursday.
With that in mind, two of the week’s events, the Hasbrouck Heights Swim Club team competing in the league championships Wednesday in Woodcliff Lake will be touch and go. If thunder and lightning are predicted for meet time, a postponement until later in the week might be required. Just regular rain, however, will not cancel the meet.
Friday the outlook is better for the dive team, as they host the league diving championship’s at the pool. The dive team is coming in to the championships with a 4-1 record, and is looking to capture the crown.
On Tuesday evening, the Borough of Hasbrouck Heights is scheduled to meet on Tuesday evening at 8 pm, with the public discussion of the Prime Developer’s project on Oldfield Avenue expected to be on the agenda.
On Tuesday, the Farmer’s Market will once again be open, in the Hasbrouck Heights Municipal Parking Lot.
On Thursday, the Wood-Ridge Land Use Board will meet to finish hearing the zoning application of the Briad Group regarding the razing of TGI Friday’s, and the construction of a seven-story Element Hotel by Westin on the property.
