WOOD-RIDGE, NJ - It wasn't the senior year season that anyone could have imagined, but Wood-Ridge High School head softball coach Andrea Marino made it her mission to honor the three Lady Blue Devils on what would have been Senior Day.

Marino visited with each of her players, Isabella Iacovino, Samantha Perez, and Madylin Marino and their families. She brought flowers, and a gift bag of each of the players' favorites things, and posed for photos.

Their underclassmen teammates even held an impromptu drive by in a show of support and solidarity.

Marino reflected on her three senior players.

"Bella, Sam and Maddie have helped me rebuild this program from the day they stepped on the field as freshman," said Marino. "Due to their love, heart, dedication, determination and desire, they made themselves into true team players and worked so hard to excel at their positions.  My hope was that they could have finished what we started and to play on that diamond one last time together."

"So now my wish for them is nothing but love, happiness and success in their futures at DeSales University, University of Rhode Island and Hawaii Pacific.  We will truly miss them."
