Wood-Ridge Touchdown Club to Host NFL Pros vs Blue Devils All Stars Basketball Fundraiser

WOOD-RIDGE , NJ - The Wood-Ridge High School Touchdown Club and WRHS Class of 2019 are hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, March 3 , starting at 6 p.m. in the Wood-Ridge High Gymnasium.  NFL Pros vs. the Blue Devils All-Star Basketball game will feature former NFL players against multiple local teams, including students, faculty and members of the community,

There is a limited access VIP Session between 6 pm and 7 pm, with autographs, celebrity guests and reserved game seating. Tickets are are available in advance, $35 VIP (for the game and VIP session), $10 General Admission, and at the door, if available.  Tickets at the door will be $15 General Admission, $40 VIP (Games and VIP session.)

Advanced ticket sales are advised, and available online through www.LADFK.org.

NFL players scheduled to attend include:

Darian Barnes - A fullback on the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2002, he appeared with eight different NFL teams, including both the New York Jets and Giants after his college career at Rutgers and Hampton University.  

Aaron Beasley - A third round pick of the Jacksonville Jaqaurs out of West Virginia in 1999, Beasley spent time with the Jets in 2002 and 2003.  In his nine-season NFL career, he played in 121 games (105 as a starter) and compiled 423 tackles, 24 interceptions, ten forced fumbles and 8.5 quarterback sacks.

Brandon Bing - Bing spent two seasons in the NFL, with three teams, including the Giants, where he was on the roster in 2011 and 2012, taking home a ring as part of the Giants Super Bowl XLVI championship team.

Barrett Brooks - An 11 year NFL veteran, and Super Bowl XL champion, who played offensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jets, Giants, Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles during his career.

Kareem Huggins - Running back for Tampa Bay, New England and the Jets from 2009 through 2013, after competing for Hofstra University.

J’Vonne Parker - Former Rutgers University defensive tackle who played for six teams in his NFL career, including the Cleveland Browns (twice), Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, and  Denver Broncos.

Michael Campbell -  Signed as an undrafted free agent,   Campbell spent time with the Jets on two occasions as well with the Saint Louis Rams. He played his college ball at Temple University.

Chad Plummer - The University of Cincinnati product is a veteran of both the NFL and CFL, having played for the Denver Broncos  who selected him in the sixth round of the 1999 draft as well as the Colts before heading north of the border.
