The 2020 Preserving Our Planet poster contest was held for all children in grades three to five.  All students were requested to help build environmental awareness by drawing a picture or creating a poster that represents what "Preserving Our Planet” means to them (recycling, protecting pollinators, conservation, sustainable energy, etc.).

The students displayed their artwork on their front door or window and the winners were selected by members of the Hasbrouck Heights Environmental Commission.

Each participant received a recognition letter and all winners received a gift card donated by Spindler's Bake Shop and a plant donated by Bill O'Shea's Florist.  Additionally, each winner will be acknowledged at the 6/24 Town Council meeting and recognized by the Mayor and Town Council at a non-virtual council meeting in the future.

The Commission would like to thank all the participants, our sponsors and the Hasbrouck Heights DPW for generously donating the supplies to help our children create these posters.
