LITTLE FERRY, NJ - The Borough of Little Ferry is celebrating its 125th anniversary with three big days of special events and activities throughout the town, including a parade and fireworks. 

Festivities kick off on Friday, September 20 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Main Street Park. The public is invited to enjoy carnival rides and games, a 50/50 drawing, food, music and a biergarten hosted by Brix City Brewing. 

Saturday finds a full day of fun and activities, starting at 11 a.m. and ending at 10 p.m.. The one-mile parade steps off at 11 a.m. from Liberty Street and winds its way through town, finishing at Main Street Park. The hour-long parade will feature the Little Ferry Police and Fire Departments, Maywood Fire Department, and Ridgefield Park Fire Department.

Political dignitaries scheduled to appear include the Little Ferry Mayor and Council, the Bergen County Freeholders, NJ State Senator Paul Sarlo (D-36), Bergen County Clerk John Hogan, along with the Hackensack Honor Guard, American Legion Post 310, Sons of the American Legion, American Legion Riders, Little Ferry VFW, and A Hero’s Welcome.

Other participants include four bands, three large floats, antique cars and fire engines. Little Ferry soccer, Little Ferry schools, Little Ferry/South Hackensack Little League, Miss Teen New Jersey, and the Harlem Wizards, among others.

Saturday’s festivities continue with 35 craft fair vendors, a 50/50 drawing , 20 food trucks and the return of the biergarten. Families can enjoy inflatable attractions and a petting zoo, carnival rides and games, a karate demonstration, music concerts and DJ music. Fireworks will light up the night sky starting around 9pm.

The celebration continues on Sunday, running from 12 noon through 5 p.m. Food trucks, craft fair vendors, and the biergarten return. DJ music will play while children can get their final chance to enjoy games and carnival rides.
