HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - One week after the planning, painting, and judging, the winners were honored for the Annual Hasbrouck Heights Halloween Window Painting Contest.  The event had been rescheduled due to a rainstorm last Wednesday. The students were recognized by John Kosakowski, owner of O'Shea's Florist, the event's sponsor.

This year hundreds of students participated in the 26th annual contest. Open to third, fourth and fifth graders from Lincoln School, Euclid School and Corpus Christi School. the students painted the town with Halloween-themed pictures from scary to humorous on the windows of businesses along the Boulevard and Williams Avenue.

Paintings were judged in one of three categories: Humor, Content, and Composition. Each grade receives a First, Second and Third in each of the three categories. And each winner received a gift certificate from Carvel in Hackensack.
