HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - The Free Public Library of Hasbrouck Heights continued to be open for in-person appointments.   In accordance with New Jersey state guidelines, mask wearing is now optional for vaccinated individuals.  Due to the nature of the setup as part of Borough Hall, the public should use the Madison Avenue entrance for the library.  Doorside pickup service continues to be offered.

The Library’s new hours of operation are as follows—for Doorside & In-Person appointments:

  • Monday, Thursday & Friday - 10 am to 5 pm
  • Tuesday & Wednesday - 10 am to 8 pm
  • Saturdays - 10 am to 2:30 pm
  • In-House Browsing and Computer Use is extended to 1-hour.

Looking ahead, starting July 1, the Library will be open Thursdays 10 am-8 pm.

The public is welcome to return library materials to our book box.  It is located in back of the municipal building near the entrance.  We will no longer be quarantining materials before checking-in items.

Summer reading is just around the corner!  This year’s program, Tails and Tales, begins on Monday, June 21 and runs through Sunday, August 29.  All logging for kids, teens, and adults will be done online at http://hhlibrary.readsquared.com.  Visit the site for registration and additional details.  We have another exciting summer planned that includes themed contests, programs, and crafts for all ages.

Let us help with your reading list! Bundle Up is a specially curated book recommendation service available for all ages. Fill out a form according to your age-range, and we will give you your next favorite read! Each bundle will come with three options.

Our Movie Night (at Home) promotion continues throughout the month.  Borrow any 5 Hasbrouck Heights-owned DVDs from our Adult or Juvenile collection using doorside or in-person browsing, and we’ll provide a bag of microwave popcorn!
