HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - Euclid Elementary School students took to the stage to showcase their talents and raise money for charity at the PTA Talent Show, Euclid's got Talent, in late February.

The 21-member PTA Talent Show Committee began planning for the annual showcase in early January. Two student emcees, Sean Powers and Eoin Maloney, introduced each act before they took the stage. This year it featured 61 students performing a variety of acts from singing, dancing, gymnastics, comedy to instrumental performances on drums, guitar and piano.

The talent show also incorporated a fundraiser for Juvenile Diabetes. Sean Powers, one of the emcees, was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes last July.  According to Kristin Hicks, one of the co-chairs, they decided to incorporate it into the show to help with donations. Sean talked about her experience in her introduction before the show began.

During intermission, door prizes were given away, including a Karaoke machine, Keurig foffee machine, crock pot, yoga mat and yoga DVD, and a voice recorder.  Nikoh Dunbar read the numbers off the raffle tickets for people to claim the prizes.

Jennifer Dunbar and Kristin Hicks, Talent Show co-chairs, thanked all the Talent, parents, Mr. (Michael) Sickles, principal, and the Euclid PTA for making the show a success.

"Our show's success simply would not have been possible without the hard work put forth by each of you," they said. "To our spectators; it was your support and cooperation that created such a safe and seamless experience.  We thank each of you endlessly.  We hope everyone had an amazing time and look forward to next year.  Be well!"
