HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -- The Hasbrouck Heights High School Drama Club presented a special afternoon matinee for senior citizens of this year's musical, "The Wizard of Oz."
Performances are Wednesday and Thursday, April 3 and 4 at 7 p.m. in Kiefer Auditorium at the high school. Tickets are $8 for Adults, $5 for Students and available at the door.
This year's musical is under the direction of Paula Jacobs, a first year teacher in district. While new to Hasbrouck Heights, Jacobs has over 20 years of teaching and performing arts experience. Assisting is Vocal Music Director Antoinette Gierut, and accompanist Judith Kessler.
The cast is a combination of high school students, who play the principal roles (main roles), and middle school students who play the Munchkins and other supporting roles. Two seniors are in this year's production, Erin Bischoff, who plays Dorothy with her service dog Gauge, as Toto, and Morgan Friedel, who plays the Winkie General. The complete cast and crew can be found at Go Over the Rainbow at Hasbrouck Heights' "Wizard of Oz."
